Role Of Youth Empowerment In Promoting Peace Religion Essay

Role Of Youth Empowerment In Promoting Peace Religion Essay Youth are the pillars of peace and tranquility in the world. The threat of nuclear has been killing our peace of mind, happiness and our wish to live. It has affected mans life directly or indirectly. Even a slight misuse of atomic energy may bring about horrible changes in climate, biological structure; ecological system and finally annihilate the world. To promote inter nation discussion of youths common problems we must approach UN and its related agencies on the topics of human rights and rights of the children. Let the youths make special request for providing advice, help with setting up courses and conferences on the world peace to assist in workshops on peace education for the youth. Youth must be encouraged to appeal to the world leader to create peaceful and sustainable world. Every youth has different knowledge and capabilities. International peace and security can not be achieved without the promotion of mutual understanding, cooperation and goodwill among the youth of the world. The world community must give a new dimension to task of education, producing a new kind of spirit of harmony and understanding in the art of living in the world community. UN must empower every youth with the education and resources to sustainable livelihood and provide social security and solution building concerning peace. However the United Nations has seeds of hope and peace. We should remember that in comparison to the United Nations the world is very old and it is not easy to change the world. Youth can be said to be the most innovative and uncompromising part of society. UN was setup from the ashes of the Second World War and the declaration of human rights was one of the first things that it produced. We should understand that whole universe is created for peace not for destruction. People should therefore live together in peace and do whatever they can for the wellbeing of the suffering ones. However, we have not been successful in stopping the arm race among the great power yet. The exercise of human rights and freedom is an essential element of peace. Peace is an essential requirement for the satisfaction of human basic needs such as food, shelter, health, education, labor and environment. The young general assembly is uniting young people from all over the world in responsible action to initiate practical activities through promoting youth empowerment in decision making and solution building. The children of the world are calling for a better future. They have the chance to develop their potential. They need a peaceful world. Childrens rights are being violated every day and yet the offenders continued to say Children are the future. To educate and enlighten the youths about social services and also promote community organizing as a tool to reconnect people to each other with a common goal of building supportive and good community. To create spaces for the youths of the world including people who are young of color, queer, poor and or have disabilities to invest in the power of collective action. The world community is extremely worried about the continued worsening condition of world-wide youths who face growing levels of unemployment, poverty, epidemic diseases, functional illiteracy and other social and economic challenges. Youths continue to deal with grievous health problems, specially the HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) / AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) which is the greatest challenge confronting our generation at present. The world community is extremely worried about the prevalent violation of the human rights concerning with youths such as child labor, trafficking and living in countries under occupation [1]. We know that there are large number of youths missing the proper training and education for good productive jobs, very less jobs and too many nonproductive employments with poor payment and security. The world community should invest much money in applicable skills training, underlining training suited to the job market. Growing awareness of the interdependence of the world and of global problems is concern to all people of the world. The purpose of youth network is to increase the youths respect for human beings, love for humanity and develop a peace loving mind all of which should be the foundation for international understanding. Therefore moral education is very closely related to international understanding. Special activities play an important role because they help the youths develop international understanding through actual experiences. We must empower all the youths of the world and encourage them to pay need to the followings: Interests in the world surrounding and in human cultures. Understanding of world and cultures. Transformation of consciousness to include the world and other cultures. Formation of an attitude of international harmony and cooperation. Often teaching for international understanding is based on a description and analysis of different international social systems. The aim is to develop a critical idea in young people who should be able to discern the political and economical structure, which are the causes of conflict, violence and war. This is right but not enough. The young people will be encouraged to take part in activities of understanding other people and to discover the cultures of other races such as Japanese, the Africans and the Arabs. They may learn in other lands such as the famine crises, earthquake crisis in Pakistan and may decide to sponsor a child in Africa in order to help pay for his education. The venture may be successful in bringing the awareness amongst the young people about the value of understanding and peace and benefits, peaceful cooperation amongst the different people of the world. The people of the world should take keen interest in establishing the identity and pleading in favor of initiatives that empower youth to have greater control over their individual and collective fates and their capability to lead efficaciously to the progress of the community worldwide and achieve peace and international understanding [2]. Peace is not just a state of freedom from any kind of war or conflict but also a condition of mind, individual or collective a political, economical and social cultural harmoniousness. In other words, peace is also defined as a way of living and a way of existence. For this reason to have a true culture of peace, it is required to develop law and order as well as pay respect to human rights for fighting against poorness. We require to support intercultural talks which can be conducted among civilizations and to empower youths. As youths it is our governments concerning about dialogue to establish a culture of peace. Hence we must endorse the following definite schemes to backing youth against oppression and we have to recognize the number of existing obstacles for the realization of a true culture of peace [3]. To form a youth network which could mechanize to guarantee the involvement of youth representatives in reconciliations process, negotiations and peace building. Lets develop and support the education of culture of peace in curriculums of all school levels. It is essential to terminate conventional or formulaic conceptions in education by increasing consciousness the contribution and function of young women and girls in society. The UN system should boost, encourage and detect paths to recognize the participation, facilities and technical assistance for their work [3]. Training, education and capability building of youth are of predominant influence to encourage youths to contribute their time and energy in the field of international understanding and peace. Especially the young people of the developing countries are facing lots of problems for example, lack of opportunities for education and training, unemployment, drug abuse, poor health facilities and services etc. The youths comprise the main human source of support for development. They are in many sectors, the fundamental factors for social transformation and scientific inventions. Young people are frequently the last to benefit directly from general progress, living without basic resources curtails the participation of youths in the lives of their communities and nations. It also has an adverse impact on the access to education and skill development. Poverty undermines the aspiration of millions of young people globally, manifesting itself in illness, illiteracy, drug abuse, trafficking and crime. Faced with too many demands, too few resources, the needs of youth go unanswered to the long term detriment of development. It is evident from the foregoing facts and figures that youth need support if they are to play a central role in society. The international communities also have objectives, to promote youth activities as an integral part of social and economic development; to enhance the active participation of youth in society and to promote among young people, the ideals of peace and international understanding.

A Beautiful Mind †Schizophrenia Essay

If you ever wondered and wanted to experience how a person with schizophrenia thinks and acts, then; a beautiful mind is the perfect movie to see to get an elaborate point of view of a person who struggles with schizophrenia in their everyday life. In this movie the depiction of schizophrenia is described as a person who lives out their life thinking and believes that there’s an actual living person they talk to, but in reality it’s just delusions and hallucinations they are experiencing. The features and symptoms displayed in this film that help identified the main characters’ disorder were hearing, seeing, and feeling things that weren’t actually there. It then progressed to anger and anxiety, which I believe was due to encountering events or a series of events that participated later along the characters life. As the characters symptoms seem to get worse he was then delivered and brought to use insulin coma therapy, which I read by psychiatric consultant, Max Fink, in Psychiatric News, â€Å"The primary treatment he received was insulin coma therapy, which along with ECT was the only treatment that had demonstrated any impact on schizophrenia symptoms by the time of his illness†. See more: Distinguish between problem-focused coping and emotion-focused coping Essay After undergoing many treatments in the psychiatric hospital he then eventually stopped taking the medications and treatments do to memory loss, which prevented him from solving the difficulty math problems he was accustom to do in his early years. The Architecture in Melbourne - 518 Words

The architecture in Melbourne is characterised by a substantial juxtaposition of old and new architecture. Where there are old architectural buildings that are an icon of Melbourne, there are also more recent buildings that have built a reputation of a Melbourne Icon. These more recent icons are known as The Melbourne Museum and Federation Square. Both the Melbourne Museum and Federation Square started off as a competition for architects to design the new building, whoever came up with the best concept/design would be the designer of the building or space. The Melbourne Museum competition was announced in 1994 where it was also opened for architects to design. The same chance for architects was given to design ‘a new civic square’, known as Federation Square we see today. The Victorian Government held this competition in 1996 and was announced to be an international competition. With the Centenary of Federation celebrations coming up in 2001, the main idea of the design was to generate a cultural space in the Melbourne CBD. The designs and the final plans for the Melbourne Museum were presented in May 1995, where Denton Corker Marshall (DCM) Architects won the competition. Lab Architects, which was based in London at that time, was to partner up with Bates Smart to design this new cultural space, where Bates Smart was considered to be one of the most prominent architecture firms in Melbourne. A Brief Note On The United States And Papua New Guinea

Time to Care If America is the greatest country in the world for its inhabitants, Colorado must be the best place in the United States for whoever is lucky to call it home. However, if you ever decide to have a child anywhere in Colorado, you will find out that it is not as great as you might have thought. As of today, the United States accompanies the non-developed Suriname (South America) and Papua New Guinea (Australia) in the group of the only three countries in the world that do not offer any kind of paid maternity leave, as reported recently by ABC News. If some American states, like California and New Jersey, are correcting that mistake with proper state laws, Colorado falls far behind. As the liberal state that allows you to grow†¦show more content†¦It would work similarly as what happens with taxes that go towards unemployment insurance; however, only those who decided to join would have that collection taken. Therefore, any participant could require a paid parenta l leave with the birth of a child. The senate denied the bill and buried Colorado in the limbo of states where having a kid is even more challenging to the parents’ life. Although the majority of the cost of the program would come from the participants’ income, the major concern of the politicians who disapproved the bill still related to the costs of a project. Local businesses also present the same concern about paid maternity leave. However, both groups – always so worried about monetary outcomes – should see the big picture. In the past years, Colorado saw a decline of its birth rate, which is also below the country’s average. According to the latest National Vital Statistics Report, births in Colorado stopped increasing in the past ten years; to explain that trend, the â€Å"Ages and Stages† study, from the Cassandra Report – specialized in researching trends among the millennials generation – showed that 34% of American a dults born after 1985 do not want to have kids. The unwillingness to give up flexibility is the most cited reason between the participants; in a state with no paid maternity leave, you need to be very flexible to have a kid. Trailers make people aware of new movies and new movie release dates, most commonly found in the beginning of rental movies and at cinemas before the movie starts. Trailers are put at the beginning of movies because this is when the audience are paying most attention so they grab the audiences attention. What is known as the best bits of a movie in are in included in the trailer. We will write a custom essay on Lord of the Rings-Return of the King specifically for you for only $16.38 $13.9/page Order now These are normally the most dramatic or most hilarious scenes, making then make the viewers more interested in watching or wanting to see the movie. I will be analysing two trailers Pearl Harbour and Lord of the Rings-Return of the King. Both of these trailers are modern and are based on the subject of war. The Return of the King is the third and final movie in the highly successful Lord of the Rings trilogy. It builds on the excitement and adventure in the first two movies to create an electrifying and gripping finale to the trilogy, and already some critics are calling it one of the best movies ever created. The main theme of the movie is war, with side themes of love and friendship, but not in the way that we are used to it nowadays. Fighting is done by sword and shield, man against monster, with skilled displays of archery and siege equipment. The men are all fighting a complete battle of good verses evil, where the fate of the world rests on one characters shoulder, who holds the item that will mean that evil will triumph, as he continues to embark upon the quest to destroy the one ring. He may be the most important character, but throughout the film there are displays of heroism by men fighting selflessly to defend middle-earth for future generations to come. Pearl Harbour is a movie made 2001 which goes back to Decembers 2nd 1941, where The USA was ambushed by the Empire of Japan completely unexpectedly and surprisingly. It shows the chaos and terror that this attack brought, and clearly tells the viewer how devastating this attack was to the people of Pearl Harbour. The main themes of the film are war and love, as you are made to feel for the woman who waits anxiously while her two lovers go out to fight. For Lord of the Rings, the excitement of the trailer begins immediately with the camera beginning to pan across the location of the enemy stronghold surrounded by fire, thunder and lightning. The scene is set by catchphrases said by the main characters such as the end has come, which instantly gives the viewer the knowledge that the end of the world is near and indicate that the genre of this movie is war. The media are putting pressure on the American Government to join in the war and to stop letting other nations fight the battle for them. The trailer goes on with the voice of the radio and eventually the one of the main characters is shown being sent off to war as a sign that the government has given in and decided to join the fight. The first scenes are hardly dramatic which is quite unusual for movies consisting of so much action, but briefly set the scene of what it is like at the time. The most spectacular part of the Lord of the Rings trailer is also the ending. The final part of the trailer uptakes the highest tempo, the music builds up gradually and reaches its peak at which time images are flashing on the screen constantly of heros fighting to save the world for future generations, you are made to feel intensely grateful to them and hatred for the enemy. The last words of the trailer are said by Aragorn who responds to a statement that they cannot beat the evil through strength of arms with But we can give Frodo a chance. They refuse to give up even though the odds are stacked against them. After this quote the music reaches its climax and pictures flash rapidly from the whole movie showing the severe ferocity this war has caused all over one little ring that hangs around Frodos neck including close-ups of the characters faces show complete terror and torture. The final clip is of Sam yelling helplessly amongst rings of fire, this tells the viewer that the ending will be highly eventful. After watching the trailer the key question flashes though your mind, Will Frodo destroy the ring and save the world? The only way to find out is to watch the full movie. The most electrifying part of the Pearl Harbour trailer is when the trailer starts to speed up with the yell, Warning of Japanese aggressive movements, and the people in view are running away in fear from the soaring Japanese planes coming from the skies. It is now clear that Pearl Harbour is under attack! An interview with the president of the USA confirms this and then the footage of the attacking Japanese planes and bombs is shown, it is quite distressing and very realistic with state of the art scenes of boats and buildings being exploded into balls of flame. Close-ups on the faces of nurses rushing around frantically trying to save lives and soldiers trying to defend themselves in vain truly portrays how fearful and horrendous this attack was. The final dozen seconds of the Pearl Harbour trailer begin to flash different pictures of the state of Pearl Harbour during and after the invasion, the aircraft carrier which proved the braveness of the main characters, and with pictures of the American flag still flying high, and the happiness of the one of the main characters to be back in his lovers arms. During this small trailer, the viewer has seen the Americans suffer at setback, but refuse to lose determination and show the rest of the world that they are not the cowardly playboys that they are made out to be by the media.
